Standardizing insurance and health centers as one of the basic and main aims of Social Security Organization began from second half of decade 90s in this organization. Available statistics indicates that at present 30 hospitals, 7 Health Directorates, 11 Health documentation offices, 19 medical centers, 6 occupational Health centers, and 3 medical commissions have been obtained ISO 9000 certification.
Green Hospitals
Standard ISO 14000 has been provided, compiled and published as a world reference of ecology management by International Organization Standard (ISO) and would be applied by small or big organizations that want their activities to have no or the least damage on the environment.
In order to protect environment and decrease the pollution of water, air and soil as well as to prevent human being, animals and plants from being hurt as the result of health centers activities, Social Security Organization has established ecology management system on the basis of world standard ISO 14000 in some of health centers.
So, Semnan shafa, Takestan, Arak Khomeini and Milad hospitals have been succeeded to establish this system and obtain related certification. Oromiye Emam Reza, Sirjan Dr. Gharazi, Gonbad Khatam Al Anbia, Varamin 15 Khordad, Zanjan Emam Hosein, Gazvin and Yazd Shohadaye Kargar hospitals are establishing this system. As well, other centers will be gradually be covered.
Obtaining Standard OHSAS 18000
Standard OHSAS 18000 recognizes and manages harmful conditions of work environment for staff to accomplish the related activities easily and safely. Shohadaye 15 khordad hospital of Waramin has implemented this international standard. Tabriz Ostad Ali Nasab and Zanjan Imam Hossein hospitals are carrying out the above mention system.
